In Section page 3
A Deadly Business

1a) What are 2 worrying trends about drug trafficking mentioned in the article ?

b) Why are Singaporeans increasingly being used as " drug mules "?

2a) What will you do if you find out that one of your friends is selling drugs ?
How will you react if someone tries to sell drugs ?

The two worrying trends are that not just adult men are the ones drug trafficking but also women and teenagers are an danger of getting caught by the police for drug tracfficking . the second worrying trend would be that more and more other singaporeans are arrested overseas for their crimes for drug trafficking . It is because singaporens do not need a visa when going to most places and they are also less likely to be checked because of its reputation for having a strong opposition against drugs so it becomes easier for them to get used by people overseas to help imort over the drugs so as to make quick and easy money . Which is the reason why there is and increase of singaporeans caught acting as drug mules . The first thing i will do is to tell and stop my friend from continuing selling the drugs . Then talk them into confessing with the police by surrrendering himself . If i know the person i would approach and try to stop him then tell him and hopefully he would not do it again . But if it were to happen then i would tell him the serious and heavy punishment about drug trafficking hopefully he will tremble when he heard it and finally stop doing it again . I would definitely be shocked and appalled if it were someone i knew but if i do not know the person then i would at least try to persuade them into stop doing the same thing again and again .

sec 3E Sttraits Times Blogging WEEK 4

Sec 3E EL Straits Times Blogging WEEK 4

Refer to the “in” Section

1) Pg 4: Her world’s a stage

Reflection Questions:

Do you consider yourself an artistic person?

What are your opinions of the theatre scene in Singapore?

2) Pg 10: Drink-and-Eat MRT Riders on the rise

Reflection Question:

How do you feel about MRT commuters eating and drinking blatantly on the train?

I do not not consider myself an artistic person as i do not know how to draw , paint and play musical instruments . I also do not think that i am quite artistic myself . I feel that its good as many people can learn a think or two just by observivg an art piece in the museum or by going to the musical theatre to watch a play which displays moral values . All this helps families get together and creates family times and moments to share with one and another to enjoy . I feel that those MRT commuters are inconsiderate as they only think about themselves and do not think how others feel as people like them do not abide by the rules . they do not feel ashamed but very thick skinned instead because they know about the sign which say no bringing of food in the train . they also feel that they are very rich as they do not care about the the heavy fines which are being imposed on them .therefore they are inconsiderate and rich but thick skinned .

ST Reflection Semester 2 week 1

1a) Why is cheerleading an expensive sport ?

b)What makes cheerleading such a tough sport?

2) What is your opinion of cheerleaders ? If given a chance , would you join cheerleading ? Why / Why not ?

It is because the hair products costs about $5o for a competition , medical insurance of $30 to $100 for each person , nutritional supplements costs about $50 to $130 per bottle , tailored costumes for new competition seasons which costs $100 to $400 each as tailors hired mostly are from thailand , gymnastics classes and workshops which costs $50 per session weekly for an hour and a half as some coaches make in it compulsory to attend , their tights costs about $2 to $5 , training mats costs $50 per piece and branded shoes imported from united states and taiwan which costs $90 to $150. In total it would cost a boom as such amount needed for this sport . Cheerleaders have must attend training sessions which are made compulsory so that they would not miss out and in the event of a competition not do well, they too have to be co-ordinated so as to show temwork and be presentable to the judges which could be real tiring to do and their competition are quiet frequent so they need lots of time to practice and keep fit . My opinion of cheerleaders is that they are all very rich and very fit like muscular and brave as they have to perform dangerous stunts that may hurt them. given a chance i would not join cheerleading because of its many disadvantages and its high costs .
